I prefer winter and fall, when you feel the bone structure in the landscape - the loneliness of it - the dead feeling of winter. Saturday, November 7, 2009.

Sunday, May 10, 2015. I believe the nicest and sweetest days are not those on which anything very splendid or wonderful or exciting happens, but just those simple pleasures, following one another softly, like pearls slipping off a string. Just returned home after spending a delightful and creative week in Ligonier, PA. What fun we had! Students working away on their samplers.

This past year and already into the new year I have been busy teaching French Boutis classes and designing new patterns. I also have done several quilt trunk shows for quilt groups. After many months my new French Boutis Zippered Bag pattern is published on. As a complete kit and as a PDF downloadable pattern. The small bag when completed measures about 5 x 7. It has a 12 inch zipper and is lined with beautiful fabric.

Implementing the most comprehensive approach to Integrative Medicine. Our unique model provides the most effective, responsible, and comprehensive approached to integrated care. If you had to choose, would you mist the leaves or water the soil of a withering plant? The answer seems basic - misting the leaves with water is helpful, but nowhere near as helpful as nourishing the roots. Yet, as a society, this is how we often treat our bodies.

Getting it Together

Tuesday, March 3, 2015. Writing, change, and bloody pen licences. Today I write, like many days before, and I expect many days to come, I write. I love writing, it has granted me much kindnesses and stimulation. Through both personal exploration and probably mainly internal clarification, and importantly connection to my community. I made a commitment this weekend regarding writing. A necessary commitment I think which currently I feel very optimistic about.

Diary of a Fat Girl. I have said it before, and I will say it, again. In day to day activities Life just happens. Like a toddler, it grabs your attention forcing you to look at the stunts that it can achieve by consistently tugging at your sleeve and calling out your name. The grief was unbearable, and it took me quite some time to overcome my loss. I tried to write, but words no longer flowed. I even tried to read my favorite books, but interest was lacking.
